Aluminum density is approx. 2.71g/cm³, only 1/3 of steel, significantly reducing structural weight while meeting strength requirements

A dense oxide film naturally forms on the aluminum surface, providing good atmospheric corrosion resistance; 5xxx alloys are especially suitable for marine and humid environments
